IND vs SA 3rd T20I Match Prediction - Who will win T20 match between India and South Africa

India have already claimed the three-match series having won the first two games. While the first game was complete domination from the Men in Blue, the second game went down to the wire. South Africa fought really well with the bat after their bowlers had a terrible day. David Miller led the charge with his century (106*) while Quinton de Kock aided him. Meanwhile, India’s concern around their bowling still remains intact. Now, as this will be the last game for Rohit Sharma's India before they head into the T20 World Cup, it is to be seen if India can finish on a high. South Africa will also look to correct their mistakes.

Pitch Report

The Holkar Stadium pitch is known to aid batters but the pitch deteriorates a bit in the latter half of the innings. However, the shorter boundaries always pose a challenge for the bowlers. So, another high-scoring game will be on the cards when the two teams meet on Tuesday.

Team Analysis

India

Rohit Sharma-led India put on a batting masterclass on Sunday (2 October). Everyone who batted that evening scored runs at a brisk rate. But it was KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav (yet again) who impressed with their range of shots. While Rahul exhibited pure class, Yadav dished out shots in every corner of the ground. Virat Kohli played a perfect second fiddle to Yadav as the star batter remained unbeaten on 49 off just 28 balls. In the end, Dinesh Karthik did what he does best, finished things off perfectly. The batter scored 17 runs off 7 balls to propel India to a massive 237/3.

But despite scoring so many runs, India were on the verge of losing the game. The pace attack of Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Deepak Chahar was taken to the cleaners. The spinners were not spared either. All in all, it was another shambolic bowling performance from India which captain Sharma is also concerned about. He will look to get things together before the mega event.

South Africa

South Africa buried the horrors of Thiruvananthapuram and put on a great show with the bat in Guwahati. David Miller stole the show with his mad hitting skills as the southpaw scored a 47-ball 106*. Miller and Quinton de Kock partnered to put on a massive 174-run partnership for the fourth wicket and even threatened to take the game away from India. Had others contributed a bit, it could have been a different story for the Proteas. But that has been the problem. Barring a few names, most of the players are failing to contribute.

Captain Temba Bavuma looks clueless when he comes to bat. While he got a 4-ball duck in the first game, it was a 7-ball duck in the second game for him. Aiden Markram showed some promise in the first game but he too departed cheaply in Guwahati. Rilee Rossouw has also suffered two back-to-back failures. Meanwhile, Tristan Stubbs did not get a chance to bat. It is to be seen if South Africa are able to address these concerns when they take the field on Tuesday.
